The British Standards Institution (BSI) has expanded its testing and certification services to include Kitemark certification for the updated BS 7412:2024 standard.
This revised standard, which covers PVC-U windows and doorsets, supports Secured by Design (SBD) requirements and remains central to the fenestration sector. The updated BS 7412:2024 includes a wider range of product types, now covering hybrid and mechanical corner joints.
“Launching this updated certification reflects our commitment to advancing industry standards” said Lorraine Balch, Construction Team Manager at BSI. “Our clients will be able to transition smoothly as we align with the forthcoming PAS 24 update expected later in 2024.”
