Business Micros has marked the tenth anniversary of its first software installation in Australia, by making the trip ‘Down Under’ once again to complete yet another machine installation.
Sales and installation expert, Nick Bailey, spent a week in Allansford, in the Western district of Victoria, with Rehau fabricator Thermosmart Windows, linking its Evolution manufacturing software with a brand new Kaban SB3011 machining centre.
While he was there, he also met up with Paul Gerrard, the MD of Energy Efficient Windows, who flew in from Brisbane so that Nick could update his Evolution software and set up another trade customer on his EvoSatellite ordering system.
Ten years on, Nick says that the Australian and New Zealand markets remain important for Business Micros, with more than 20 PVC-U fabricators now reported to be using the Evolution platform for their manufacturing.
He adds: “We can manage the vast majority of these customers’ requirements remotely from the UK but when it comes to machine links, there’s no substitute for being there on the ground to do both the installation and testing.”
As well as Australia and New Zealand, Business Micros says it also has overseas customers in North America, Nigeria, the Caribbean and Iceland.
