Window and door manufacturer, Bison Frames, has doubled the size of its production facility. The company says the investment is in order to keep pace with demand for its Genesis Collection PVC-U and aluminium windows and doors.
Said to be well-known throughout the industry for Genesis VS vertical sliders, the Barnsley-based fabricator says it has used its knowledge and experience of specialist window fabrication to extend its range into the Genesis Collection. The collection of windows and doors includes PVC-U vertical sliders, flush casements, patio doors and bi-folds, and WarmCore aluminium windows and doors.
As a result, the company claims that demand has grown to a point at which bigger premises were required.
Bison co-director, Mark Tetley, said: “As the market moved towards higher-end, premium products, we found ourselves in the perfect position to play a leading role. We already knew how to develop class-leading vertical sliders – several years ago we were the first to take the market-leading Spectus VS profile and develop a fully mechanical sash window. As the market caught up, we had already invested in a new Graf Synergy welder, allowing us to offer seamless welds as well as mechanical joints. We took that experience and applied it to a wider range of products – what’s now the Genesis Collection.
“The results have been fantastic, and it soon became clear that to handle demand while continuing to offer our customers the level of service they’re accustomed to, we’d need more room. Fortunately, the unit adjacent to our current factory became available, so we snapped it up and began the process of almost doubling our production space.”
