Offering free courses to installers, the new aluminium glazing installation academy includes the option to learn best-practice fitting of Jack Aluminium products.
Run by AluFoldDirect’s in-house installation expert Paul Simpson, the academy gives AluFoldDirect’s customers the chance to learn how to fit Jack Aluminium’s TD68 thermal, commercial door and JCW curtain walling systems in a full-sized rig. Training courses are free and bespoke to individual company requirements.
Craig Miller, managing director at AluFoldDirect, said: “The academy has been launched to help installers upskill on aluminium, be confident to take on larger projects and make the most of the buoyant aluminium market.
“The hands-on training academy has been built at our manufacturing facility in Blackburn. Customers are invited to come and get free installation training on ‘Everything Aluminium’, including our commercial glazing range. Customers learn how commercial doors are manufactured and installed and see how curtain walling is built, what brackets are needed and learn how to fix them in full-size rigs.
“Jack Aluminium’s JCW Curtain Walling was also the perfect product for separating the academy from the rest of the factory.”
Jack Aluminium’s TD68 thermal, commercial door, JD47 non-thermal shopfront and JCW curtain walling systems also feature in the AluFoldDirect aluminium glazing design centre.
Ash Pearson, sales manager at Jack Aluminium, added: “AluFoldDirect is a very forward-thinking company and this new academy will help to resolve the massive skills gap that we have in the glazing industry.”
