Following a fantastic year of charitable donations in 2013 for Help for Heroes, RegaLead, the decorative glass component supplier for the flat glass and door industries, has chosen to support Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity (RDMCC) for 2014.
RDMCC, set up 22 years ago as the Roald Dahl Foundation, exists to help seriously ill children and young people within the UK and to make their lives better. In 2012/13 alone, the charity made grants to families of children with rare conditions that totalled more than £91,000. The charity’s reach extends to many more children through the 49 Roald Dahl specialist children’s nurses that were in post during 2012/13.
Guy Hubble, joint managing director at RegaLead, explained: “We raised more than £10,000 last year for Help for Heroes and we’d like to do the same again in 2014 for RDMCC. It really is a worthwhile cause, providing essential support for children and their families so that they can still enjoy a good quality of life and, importantly, manage to have some fun, despite their illness.
,“We’ll be building on the success of our Three Countries Golf Challenge this year, with an even bigger and better golfing feat. Taking place on the 14th and 15th May, golfers will travel across five countries to complete 81 holes in just 36 hours. We will also be cycling 220 miles in the London to Paris Bike Ride from the 8th-10th August, so keep your eye out for more information on how to support us in the coming months. We hope that we can once again count on the generosity of customers and suppliers alike in helping us raise funds for this fantastic charity.”
