Business Pilot has introduced a ‘major update’, giving users of the cloud-based IT system dedicated landing dashboards that are tailored to their job functions. Previously, Business Pilot users have landed on a standard dashboard when logging in to the installer CRM and business management tool.
Now, users are able to chose a dedicated dashboard reflecting the role/s they perform within their organisation, for example a sales dashboard, survey dashboard, service dashboard and ops dashboard. Each is designed to deliver easy access to the most useful tools, and allows users performing multiple roles within a business to switch between dashboards.
“The update delivers a big visual change,” said Elton Boocock, managing director of Business Pilot. “It simplifies what users see when they log in, pulling in the elements that individuals need to access to get straight into what they need to do.
“For example, if you work in sales, you’ll see your appointments for the day on the left-hand side of your screen. You’ll also see your sales summary and where you are against target.
“If you work in the ops team ,as well as appointments, you’ll see the status of contracts. Everything is geared to the job you perform, while each dashboard is linked so everything is joined up,” he added.
Users need to opt in to access the new dashboards, otherwise the system defaults to the standard dashboard, which has also been updated. Tasks have been merged into one focus screen, rather than being split between contact, lead and contract information, making it easier to get an overview of workflows.
The update also includes a team chat function: tag any registered user by prefixing their name in the feed with an ‘@’ sign. “We’re following the launch of role-specific dashboards with a series of developments in the next couple of months, and into the lead into the Fit Show in May,” Elton continued.
“The developments are being delivered as part of our continuous programme, based on what we see in our own retail businesses and what our customers report back to us. Installation has gone through incredible change in the last two years. Business Pilot is, and will continue to evolve with it,” he concluded.
