A total of 97 Optima windows by Profile 22 were manufactured and installed in a new seven-story residential development in Pelier Street, London. The new build development, contained 17 dwellings for social rent, consisting of four one-bedroom flats, nine two-bedroom flats and four three-bedroom flats.
The 97 windows manufactured and supplied were predominately Optima flush tilt and turn Windows from Profile 22 along with a small number of Optima open-out casement windows too.
The fabrication contract was awarded to Profile 22 approved contractor, Kingfisher Windows, and the installation was carried out by the Sealtite Group who specialises in the supply and installation of high-performance products to the construction industry throughout London and the South East.
The flush tilt and turn and casement windows were manufactured in RAL 7016 anthracite grey on the exterior and white on the interior to deliver the streamlined aesthetics required and value engineered to meet the clients budget specification.
Optima flush tilt and turn windows are suitable for large windows in medium or high-rise buildings and the opening sash sits inside the window frame, creating its ‘flush’ appearance. Optima casement windows are suitable for almost any size or layout of casement window.
All of the windows needed to comply with Lifetime Homes Standard to ensure they met the existing and changing needs of households. For windows to be Lifetime Homes-compliant, a window must have handles no higher than 1,200mm above floor level. As such the handles have been offset from their central location on the Optima flush tilt and turn window to comply with this exacting standard.
