Vanquish Hardware Protection, a UK manufacturer of intumescent products for hardware protection, has attained third-party audit certification for FlexiFire, a graphite-based hardware protection intumescent kit. In an apparent first for the hardware protection industry, FlexiFire is marketed as the first and only intumescent to attain third-party certification.
Celebrating this alongside Vanquish is Winkhaus UK, whose FireFrame composite fire doorset solutions were the first to attain the new Q-Mark third-party audit certification for smoke. Winkhaus was also the first company to attain Q-Mark certification for all three critical performance requirements: fire, smoke and security. Winkhaus’ timber doorset solutions are currently completing the same certification process.
Chris Flaherty, Winkhaus UK’s technical director, said: “Congratulations to Vanquish for marking this industry first! At Winkhaus, we understand the importance third-party audits throughout the golden thread for fire doorsets, and this further strengthens our proposition as we are using the first and only third-party-audited and approved intumescent hardware protection products, as seen in our test data and fire doorset specifications.”
The Winkhaus FlexiFire intumescent product range is designed specifically for use with Winkhaus autoLocks, hinges and handles, as part of its composite and timber fire doorset solutions, speeding up installation throughout the manufacturing process. The range is available exclusively from Winkhaus UK.
