Leaders of the independent hardware specialist Carl F Groupco have added Kenrick’s new captive door hinge to the company’s portfolio. The Secured-by-Design-accredited Kenrick captive door hinge can achieve the requirements of PAS 24 without additional security devices such as dog bolts.
“We’ve partnered with Kenrick for nearly 20 years because their product portfolio delivers what our customers need,” explained John Crittenden, Carl F Groupco’s managing director. “The new captive door hinge is a further example of an intelligently designed Kenrick product that is already proving popular with customers.”
John added: “The hinge speeds up installation times giving our customers greater scope to improve their efficiencies.”
The captive door hinge can carry loads of up to 120kg when four hinges are fitted and 80kg with three hinges. The product is available in standard or slim variations depending on profile stack heights, and can be used with profile-related packers for sculptured sashes. It is available in nine colours and is said to offer a solution for every style of door and décor.
Kenrick’s captive door hinge is manufactured with a zinc die cast body with a stainless steel pin. It is endurance tested to 100,000 cycles and has achieved a minimum of 240 hours salt spray testing for painted finishes as well as 480 hours for lorica finishes. The product comes with a 10-year mechanical guarantee.
“We work hard to build strong relationships with our suppliers and keep our finger on the pulse so we can remain a proactive distribution partner to our customers,” said John. A representative of the business added that, combined with an uncompromising commitment to customer service, Carl F Groupco is seeing strong sales growth as more and more customers see the difference that a reliable and proactive hardware supplier can make.
