Composite door company, Solidor, says it is offering more options for its products with its antique hardware range and latest Winkhaus AV2-B keyless entry system.
Solidor’s hardware range gives consumers the option of keyless locking, traditional furniture and contemporary handles. There is also a vast range of ‘more standardised’ hardware, resulting in ‘more door configurations than any other composite company in the UK’ according to Solidor.
The handmade traditional ironmongery range was launched in 2012 with options of handles, knockers and letterplates in black and pewter, and sales are said to have increased steadily, following the launch of similar handle options for PVC-U windows.
‘Most impressive of all’, according to Solidor, is the 5″ ring door knocker, which makes use of Solidor’s solid timber core based slabs. Due to its weight, it cannot be readily fitted on to lightweight foam-filled GRP doors. The handle range includes Gothic, monkeytail, Tudor, narrow twist and Avon options with a matching letter plate.
Solidor was a launch partner with Winkhaus for its patented blueMatic AV2-B battery operated automatic multipoint locking system, described as ‘the first keyless solution for composite doors for the mass market’ and based on the proven Winkhaus automatic AV2 lock.
