The British Fenestration Rating Council (BFRC) distributed nearly 1,000 promotional leaflets on its Homeowners Energy Rating Certificate at the FIT Show 2014.
,The certificate is specific to the property and the products purchased and will feature the installer’s name and date of installation, as well as the well-known ‘rainbow’ colour label. The ratings displayed will be ‘A+’ to ‘C’ for windows and ‘A+’ to ‘G’ for doors.
,It is the only such certificate available in the UK glazing sector.
,“Since its launch in January, the numbers of BFRC Homeowners Energy Rating Certificates issued has grown exponentially,” commented BFRC managing director, Chris Mayne. “Our survey of homeowners revealed there is an overwhelming demand from customers – so being able to issue this certificate could be a big sales driver.”
