Deceuninck has launched a new Energy Ratings Calculator, making generating u-value calculations, Energy Ratings and new PLC Ratings, simple and available in seconds.
Accessed through Deceuninck’s online customer toolkit, the Energy Ratings Calculator allows fabricators and installers to select a system, frame size, reinforcement and glass option, glass configuration and unit size – and generate an instant thermal efficiency report.
It also includes the option to select either a UKAS accredited U-value calculation, BFRC and PLC window and door energy ratings, automatically producing a report to issue to customers or as part of a FENSA or CERTASS registration.
Matt Petrie, Technical Support Engineer, Deceuninck, said: “It couldn’t be simpler to use. You select your system, glass options and reinforcement, your chosen license so BFRC or PLC, or U-value, and the calculator generators a value and report.
“It massively simplifies the calculation process, making it easier, particularly for fabricators, to respond to installer, and ultimately to end-user, enquiries on thermal performance and in support of FENSA or CERTASS registrations.”
The data is driven by the standard calculation as well as verified UF simulations, G-Values and the latest performance data, updated and centrally managed by the Deceuninck team, so that data is always current.
“It also allows you to play around with configurations”, continues Matt. “For example, if you want a higher level of performance for a specific project you can go back and maybe switch the glass configuration to triple glazed unit from a double.
“There’s flexibility to play around with your specification because results are instant. It means as a fabricator you can be more flexible, delivering instant results to installers. It removes the middleman and puts results in the hands of manufacturers.”
The Deceuninck Customer Toolkit is available through desktop, tablet or mobile, which also means that installers can access the Deceuninck Energy Calculator from site.
“It’s also really helpful for fabricators in the tender stage because they can play around with specifications to maximise value and control costs within specifications”, Matt adds.
Deceuninck is also supporting its customers to take the energy efficiency message to the homeowner and to maximise opportunities from the current demand for more energy-efficient products, through its Energy Calculator.
Available to Deceuninck customers as a website plugin, it powerfully demonstrates how replacing old windows can save homeowners money while reducing their carbon footprint.
Matt adds: “We’re covering both bases. The Energy Rating Calculator is a technical tool for fabricators and installers to evidence the performance of the products that they’re supplying.
“The Energy Calculator is a tool to help installers sell more effectively to the end-user by illustrating he contribution that energy efficient windows and doors can make in lowering their household bills.bCombined, they make winning business on the back of energy efficiency and evidencing product performance, far simpler for Deceuninck customers.”
