Visitors to the Spitfire Doors stand at this years’ FIT Show were reportedly ‘dazzled’ with the presentation of a number of premium aluminium doors sets, that are said to take entrance doors ‘to a completely new level of designer appeal with outstanding performance’.
On show were the Comet 70 and 90 door sets, which offer two different frame depths and levels of performance and the Spitfire flagship Inotherm Schüco product range, which boasts Passivhaus standards of thermal insulation and options like finger print recognition. With 279 enquiries from the show and an overwhelming response to the product proposition, Spitfire Doors are already looking to appoint a number of ‘design partners’ in the coming weeks.
With premium hardware, ‘U’ values as low as 0.7 W/m2k and even auto-opening, the aluminium entrance door range from Spitfire is aimed at the discerning homeowner and premium new build specifier. With hundreds of RAL colours and a wide range of glass options, there’s a diverse range of door options to satisfy what Spitfire describes as ‘the most individual of tastes’ which can be realised through the online door designer for the Inotherm Schüco range.
David Richards, chairman of Spitfire Doors, commented: “The response was like nothing I’ve ever experienced at a trade show. We had several industry figureheads suggest that we had the best product in the show and a number from the door sector who expressed a desire to have one on their own home.
“Aluminium entrance doors will be ‘the next big thing’ for the home improvement sector in the UK as we follow our European counterparts in terms of product design, exceptional engineering and thermal performance. We’re now actively looking for design partners to join us in our entrance door revolution.”
