Staff of Smart Architectural Aluminium displayed an extensive range of the firm’s new products and systems at the Futurebuild exhibition earlier this month. The range included innovative solutions across the business’ internal, external and outdoor living collections.
At the heart of the stand was the company’s new Signature door range, which joins the company’s established Designer door range. Sharing many of the same performance attributes and quality standards, the Signature door range has been designed to provide more choice to homeowners and to suit a wider range of budgets. Signature is marketed as a range of high-quality aluminium entrance and back doors.
Manufactured in Britain and featuring both traditional and contemporary designs, the new collection includes both front and back door options, together with a broad range of colours, accessories and glazing designs. “The Signature door range perfectly complements our existing product portfolio, enabling us to offer customers an even wider range of options and to give more homeowners the opportunity to enjoy the benefits of a high-quality aluminium entrance door,” said Eddie Robinson, Smart’s managing director. “This development also opens up new opportunities for our fabricator and installer partners, providing them with a superior quality aluminium entrance door which can compete with other materials”.
Featuring anti-snap, anti-drill and anti-pick lock protection, all of Smart’s entrance doors are marketed as providing high levels of security, together with robust, low-maintenance qualities and long-life performance. The doors have an A+ energy efficiency rating and are fully backed by Smart’s quality guarantees and support services.
A new opening vent for the Aliver roof light system, additions to Smart’s Alitherm 400 window and door system and two new Visoglide sliding doors were also unveiled at the exhibition. One of the new sliding doors, InVisoglide, features a bonded glazing system which is said to provide enhanced security and extremely slim profiles. The sliding sashes are bonded in Smart’s state-of-the-art factory and are supplied ready to install on site. The bonding process enables slim profiles to be used, as well as all four sides of the outer frame to be concealed in the aperture, Smart’s representative reported.
The second sliding addition, Thermaglide, is offered as a highly energy efficient option. It is marketed as being capable of achieving U-values of 1.4W/m²K with a 1.0W/m²K centre pane and 1.16W/m²K with a 0.7W/m²K centre pane. In keeping with the slim lines and elegant aesthetics of the Visoglide range, the new Thermaglide door features perimeter sightlines of just 115mm, with the option of a 20mm interlock profile.
Additionally, the stand featured previews of two of the systems that are set to feature in the company’s outdoor living range, with displays of both the new aluminium SolDeck decking and SolUmbra pergola systems. Developed to provide a slip-resistant and durable solution for gardens, balconies, terraces and patios, SolDeck is easy to install and requires virtually no maintenance, Smart’s representatives have claimed.
Complementing this is the SolUmbra aluminium pergola system. Freestanding or attached to a façade, the stylish system is fully customisable, with a wide range of profile, roof, colour and glazing options, they say. For more details visit smartsystems.co.uk or call 01934 876 100.
