Pioneer Trading is set to introduce its range of Gerda steel-and-aluminium front entrance doors to the UK market, at Fit Show 2022. Stylish, elegant, highly secure and offering superior thermal performance, Gerda doors are engineered using the finest door construction techniques.
With high performance levels and unique construction methods and materials, Gerda doors are marketed as an effective alternative to conventional composite doors. Pioneer’s team hopes that the range will quickly establish a strong reputation in the UK home improvement market.
Distributed exclusively in the UK by Pioneer Trading, which has been manufacturing windows and doors for more than 30 years, the Gerda range includes front entrance doors that can be produced in a range of colours and designs. All products have been chosen to suit the tastes of British homeowners. Four ranges will be available initially: Optima, Thermopremium, Thermoprime and Altus.
All Gerda products share the company’s emphasis on sustainability, high quality, high security and thermal efficiency. Weather performance has been developed for some of the toughest conditions in Europe.
The steel-and-aluminium doors offer thermal transmittance as low as 0.74 W/m²K for solid doors and 0.81 W/m²K for glazed doors. The Altus door boasts a 90mm depth, three-chamber-reinforced aluminium internal construction with PU cores, the FUHR multi-point security lock and hardware within reinforced aluminium outer frames.
Compared to the composite doors currently available in the UK, Gerda doors offer superior quality, security and thermal performance, according to Danny Williams, Pioneer’s managing director. He said: “We have been searching for some time for an alternative high-performance front entrance door solution, and for the past two years we have been in discussions with Gerda.
“We have found Gerda by some margin to be the best range that we have seen. They offer security and thermal performance, coupled with a build quality ahead of anything else currently offered at similar price levels in the UK.
“The construction techniques and materials used in the manufacture of Gerda doors ensure that distortion and other quality issues that have become so characteristic of conventional composite doors will simply not be an issue.” Despite this, Danny added, Gerda doors will be priced as an affordable alternative.
“Gerda doors have to be seen, tried and tested to appreciate the combination of performance and exceptional aesthetics. The Fit Show offers the perfect opportunity to see what we believe is a real game changer in the front entrance door sector.
“We are looking for reputable partners to offer the doors throughout the UK,” he added. “Come and see us!”
Founded over 35 years ago, Gerda is one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of high-security products, including door locks, padlocks and bicycle locks. Gerda supplies such products to countries including Australia and America. The business’ high-security offering is topped by its extensive range of residential doors. Gerda is well established in mainland Europe, and provides a range of products including fittings and garage doors. In Poland, Gerda is a premium household brand.
For anyone worried about poor customer service, Danny offered a firm assurance. He said: “Aside from product issues such as fading, warping and other issues, of equal concern is the service in the UK composite doors market. During the past few years, many leading brands of door suppliers have become complacent, and indifferent to the quality of product and service they provide. We will address this in our support of Gerda products in Britain.”
