Phoenix Doors, part of the Masco UK Window Group, has opened a new paint spraying facility at its Cambridgeshire composite door manufacturing site.
According to Phoenix Doors’ sales director, Haydon Statham, as well as supplying popular paler shades (such as Chartwell green, duck egg blue and dove grey) the in-house service can cater for a full range of bespoke RAL colours and customers also stand to benefit from reduced lead times, improvements in quality and competitive cost for both standard and non-standard colours.
Haydon commented:
“Our in-house painting service means there will be a beneficial impact on costs and lead times as we are not relying on a third party; thereby controlling our own destiny in this area. We have recruited a key skilled member of staff with 20 years’ paint spraying experience and the door finishes are outstanding – we are all very impressed.”
