Hurst Doors has announced the addition of four new vehicles to its national delivery fleet which will support the continued growth of the business.
This new, additional investment follows a £1m investment programme that has taken place in the last 24 months. This has included a new CNC machine area, machinery upgrades and a recruitment drive which has grown the Hurst team by 20%.
Jon Brake, transport manager at Hurst Doors, said: “These new vehicles are eco-friendly and some of the best vehicles we could have on the road. One of our key goals is building on the already-fantastic OTIF measurements we’re operating within, which have been consistently recorded at 99% over the last 12 months. The extra yield load that comes with these vehicles will allow us to be responsible and more flexible with larger orders than ever before, which is fantastic news for our customers.”
Dave Fellowes, Director of DNK Services, said: “Hurst are great to work with. As they use their own vehicles, the products get to customers in the best condition. The speed of their delivery is great as they cover most of the UK twice a week. By working with a manufacturer who can deal with tight deadlines and fast deliveries this allows us as a company to provide our customers with an efficient service.”
