Endurance Doors has unveiled Endurance Plus, a ‘revolutionary’ range of premium composite doors that are said to take ‘product performance, security and design to a new level in the sector’, thanks to what Endurance claims are a number of industry ‘firsts’.
Endurance Plus boasts a 75mm Eurocell Modus frame with a triple seal, for better weathering and includes 50% post-consumer recycled PVC-U as standard, helping to enhance green credentials. The flush casement variant of Modus helps to replicate the appearance of traditional timber windows and this premium range has been carefully designed to complement this, thanks to period inspired door designs, glass and hardware.
A new 56mm timber composite door slab has also been developed which is reportedly 27% thicker than a typical foam-filled GRP door, using the proven and BBA certified Kerto LVL timber core. With 20 individual layers, this door slab is said to retain strength whatever the size of door and will not bow, warp or crack. It is offered with a comprehensive 10-year warranty and a life expectancy in excess of 20 years.
Much like the standard Endurance Doors range, each door slab features the Moisture Barrier System (MBS), extruded within the Rocal Group and bonded to the base of each door to eliminate any risk of water ingress. These door slabs are then hung with four SFS Dynamic 2D hinges for lasting performance and durability, as part of the overall premium proposition.
Hardware specification has also been increased with a new multipoint locking system from ERA boasting four hooks instead of two, ensuring this new product passes the new PAS 24:2016 standard ‘with ease’. Glazed units are triple glazed, while the proven Avocet ATK 3 Star Diamond cylinder is offered as standard with the ATK £1,000 security guarantee, while Secured by Design accreditation underpins the overall premium, high security proposition.
