A filmed time trial has proved that DoorCo’s second generation Flip cassette system is ‘faster to install than competitor systems on the market’, the brand’s representative has reported. A video of the timed trial can be viewed on the DoorCo website.
“The Flip cassette system has had a revamp, fuelled by customer-led innovation and our desire to always do better,” explained Mark Towers, DoorCo’s head of operations. “The idea with this evolution was to make the system even quicker and easier to install.
“Whilst the key features remain the same – including our Foam in Place technology, which removes the need for glazing tape or wet seals, and our 3 distinct profiles – the corners and connectors are the main features to have been developed.
“The new corners and connectors will be pre-screwed to the external cassette to immediately save time in the preparation stage. Alongside the time factor, the new corners and connectors clamp to both the inside and outside of the door and glass to provide an additional level of security. The safety of the unit is then further supported with the addition of a 3rd screw in the corner piece.
“Flip can now be installed in a twin vertical door, like our Carnoustie design, in around 7 minutes only. And to prove it we have compared Flip to another leading cassette system in a genuine time trial, all recorded on video.
