Solidor says it ‘stole’ the FIT Show, with a ‘sizzling’ display of composite door innovation featuring 17 colours, new Winkhaus hardware, additional customer service initiatives and the launch of the Solidor 88 and Residence 9 doors.
,As well as the doors on display on its own stand, there were a further 14 Solidor doors on other exhibitor’s stands.
,The newly launched Solidor 88 harnesses a 62mm solid hardwood slab combined with a KBE 88 door frame, achieving a centre pane ‘U’ value of just 0.9 W/m2K with the option of further developments to create ‘a true Passivhaus solution’ according to Solidor. The new Residence 9 door frame is 100mm deep and again harnesses the 62mm slab. According to Solidor, it was ‘incredibly well received by a number of loyal and existing Residence 9 window frame customers’.
,Also on display was the patented blueMatic AV2-B battery operated automatic multipoint locking system, described as a ‘21st century keyless solution for modern composite doors’, and said to be ‘hugely popular’ with visitors to the stand.
,Gareth Mobley, managing director of Solidor Group, said: “Yet again we had an incredible show with over 300 leads and the opportunity to add further value to our customers. Our new Solidor 88 and Residence 9 composite doors add further credence to our premium position in the composite door sector, which we believe still has considerable potential for further development.”
