Kestrel Aluminium launches 75mm window system

Experts at Kestrel Aluminium Systems have launched a 75mm aluminium window system that can achieve U-values as low as 1.2W/m²K (based on standard regulatory window configuration, using double-glazed units). Variants include open-out, top-hung casements, open-in tilt before turn, tilt only, turn only and fixed lights. Glazing options at launch include insulated glass unit and infill panels from 24- to 32mm-thick.

The 75mm system is corner jointed using mechanical cleats in all corners of each profile, to ensure stability and durability. Mechanical jointing is also present on the transoms and mullions.

The window system has been successfully tested to the latest PAS24:2022 standard. Other tested highlights include up to 1350pa watertightness for an open in window.

Kestrel’s new 75mm window system can be used in conjunction with the Kestrel’s curtain walling and thermal framing systems to offer a complete glazing solution. The 75mm window system can be manufactured with either single- or dual-colour powder-coated profiles and may also be supplied in mill and anodised finishes. The Kestrel team’s in-house powder-coating facility and can offer a variety of RAL and BS colours.

“We are delighted with the launch of our 75mm window system, and with the positive feedback we received from fabricators and installers at our open day on 11 October,” said Andrew Cross, Kestrel’s marketing manager. The open day event took place at the Kestrel head office building in Birmingham, where aluminium window fabricators and installers were able to visit and learn more about the new system, as well as enjoy a tour of the firm’s powder coating facilities.

“Our 75mm system meets the strict performance requirements that our customers tell us they need their systems to achieve. We have no doubt that this new system will make it easier than ever for them to meet their customers’ performance demands.”

All of Kestrel’s aluminium systems are manufactured using low-carbon recycled aluminium, to reduce environmental impact. For more information, visit the aluminium system house’s website or call 0121 333 3575.
