Management buy-out heralds ‘new dawn’ for Mann McGowan

Mann McGowan

Mann McGowanMann McGowan, the Aldershot based specialists in intumescent technology, has announced the successful completion of its management buy-out.

Managing director, Jamie Scott and directors, Russell Smith and Rob Mann, head up the new management structure, and have already embarked on a company-wide review of its activities, with the aim of enhancing its product portfolio, exploiting new opportunities and markets, and forging strategic partnerships with like-minded companies in the intumescent sector.

Jamie Scott joined the company in 2002 and has been in full control of its extensive production facilities for the past three years – and it was reportedly his vision for the future of Mann McGowan that became the driving force behind the restructuring of the company.

Russell Smith has more than 30 years’ experience with the company, working in most areas of the business, including production, development, sales and technical – as well as overseeing on-site installations.

Rob Mann returns to the company he helped found to add invaluable R&D expertise and also play a major role in the emerging alliance with Millmerran Research and Kilargo, the leading Australian manufacturer of door sealing systems.

“We’ve a generation’s success on which to build,” said MD, Jamie Scott, “and we’re all relishing the prospect of further developing the company through innovation and creative change. It promises to be an exciting and immensely rewarding journey for ourselves, our staff, our suppliers and customers alike.”
