Kömmerling has partnered with patio and bi-folding door specialist, KAT UK, for the introduction of its ‘highly acclaimed’ PremiDoor patio door, which boasts ‘super-size’ sash sizes and what is says are ‘market leading’ levels of energy efficiency.
The door, which will be branded as KAT’s Lift and Glide patio door, can reportedly achieve a 6m opening with just two sashes and can apparently span more than 10m with up to four sashes.
The Lift and Glide door is said to offer ‘outstanding’ thermal performance, including a thermally broken running track and features a German hardware system that enables the sashes to ‘glide effortlessly’ to the side. Low line gaskets and weatherseals provide ‘lasting performance’ and slimmer sightlines, while the single leg glazing bead is described as highly secure and easy to install on site.
The Lift and Glide door is described as a ‘genuine alternative’ to a bi-folding door, with slimmer PVC-U sightlines, and ‘more glass in which to see the world outside’. The product is designed for large openings in the home, conservatory or ‘modern-day apartment’.
