Folienwerk Wolfen, the high quality plastic film provider for PET, PC and PLA bases has forged a partnership with RegaLead to supply its pioneering evguard series of lamination films to the UK glass processing market.
,The partnership was cemented at the recent launch of RegaLead’s new division, Glass Processing Products (GPP) by RegaLead in Kent, where technical manager, Steffen Bornemann and sales and marketing manager, Petra Schmigalle, discussed the technicalities and benefits of the evguard range, which can also be seen at this year’s Glasstec exhibition.
,Highly resistant to moisture and UV rays, evguard is said to be ‘particularly useful’ in the fields of design and decoration. Design inserts can be embedded between the glass and the lamination film in the processing stage, and the low processing temperature of as little as 105°C allows stylistic elements to be embedded in the glass.
,Steffan explained: “The field of glass design presents challenges for both products and manufacturers. With evguard, designers have a high-quality film for glass lamination that adjusts to individual surface conditions. evguard makes possible stylistic elements in glass design that forge completely new paths for the industry.”
,
,Guy Hubble, joint managing director at RegaLead, added: “We’re delighted to be able to offer the evguard range of films to our glass processing customers in the UK. A great deal of time and effort was spent working with supplier partners such as Folienwerk Wolfen to ensure we only brought premium solutions to the market, and visitors to our launch were genuinely impressed with the film.”

,The evguard range of films will be on display at Glasstec in Hall 11, Stand A29 or visit www.evguard.de for further information.
