The last few months have seen a flurry of new appointments within the sales and marketing team at PVC-U window system supplier, the Veka UK Group.
The first of three appointments to the sales team is Robert Grant, who joins as business development manager for Scotland and Ireland. Robert”s career in the window industry started at a young age, punctuated by a spell in the RAF, where he rescued HRH Prince Charles from an air crash, on the Isle of Islay, in 1996.
A dedicated music lover, Robert joins from a Scottish hardware distributor and enjoys fishing in Northern Scotland during his spare time.
Rachael Radcliffe also has window trade pedigree, joining from a well-known hardware company to manage business development in the North of England.
A Leeds Rhinos fan, Rachael has worked in sales since the age of 18, specialising in the construction industry. A mother of two, she enjoys going on walks with her husband and their dog.
The third new member of the sales team is Jason Hutchings, who has taken up the position of commercial sales executive for the South and East.
Jason has over 20 years experience in the window and door industry, having started his career with a hardware, sealant and fastener distributor. He worked in almost every department before progressing into field sales. Following this, Jason worked for a company specialising in composite doors before his move to the Veka UK Group.
Jason”s a family man who enjoys cooking, gardening, and canoeing when he has the chance.
Finally, joining the marketing team as brand manager, Charlotte Cheney brings over ten years” marketing experience.
With a main focus of developing Veka”s online presence, Charlotte is also responsible for commercial marketing, including that for Bowater Doors.
When not catching up on TV, films, comedy gigs and music concerts, Charlotte and her husband enjoy dog-walking in the Lancashire countryside.
Colin Torley, sales and marketing director, commented: “I”m extremely pleased to welcome four new staff with such a wealth of experience to the sales and marketing team. Along with the rest of the team, they will be working closely with customers to assist them in developing their business and building long-term partnerships. I”d like to be the first to congratulate them and wish them success as part of the team at the Veka UK Group.”
