Digital specialist, The Consultancy, has celebrated its ‘Death of the Fax’ campaign as PVC-U window and door systems supplier, Selecta Systems, becomes the latest to reap the benefits of fax-free ordering.
The campaign, which will run throughout 2015, encourages the window and door industry to embrace the digital age and ‘leave behind lengthy fax processes’.
Selecta Systems was one of the first to embrace the campaign, using The Consultancy to implement a bespoke responsive website featuring a trade portal, composite door designer and online ordering system.
Mark Walker, marketing and design manager at Selecta Systems, who managed the full project, said: “Before we implemented the online system, one order warranted around three faxes backwards and forwards and that’s on top of phone calls and securing the initial order.
“There was also so much room for human error and customers or staff misunderstanding each other. This can be very important when trying to provide prices and orders.
“Faxing was such a lengthy process and if a customer wasn’t near a fax machine, it could take days to get a response or confirmation.
“The Consultancy was brilliant and understood exactly what we needed. We now have a system which provides customers with live pricing 24/7, with full order confirmation sent there and then.”
Mark continued: “Within the first month alone, we generated a massive amount of interest and have been commended by our customers on the ease and efficiency of the system.
“Although it’s too early to report on official sales figures, we already have over 500 registered users using the system.
