Hardware specialist VBH now stocks the new TSL, the latest outward opening casement window locking system from German hardware manufacturer, Roto Frank. The product builds on the features and quality of the original Roto TSL, which has been securing homes for more than a decade.
The new TSL meets the requirements of PAS24:2012 by utilising up to four pairs of mushroom headed steel cams to lock into both sides of double entry night vent striker plates. VBH advise that this provides a smooth closing action and excellent security on windows with sashes as large as 1,600mm. All fasteners are applied to the front face so manufacturing time is reduced
Roto has utilised the faceplate from its NT tilt and turn range for the upgraded TSL. The faceplate has stepped edges, which according to Roto provides improved stability over a standard flat faceplate. The product is finished in Roto’s Sil Nano scratch resistant coating to provide corrosion resistance to EN1670:2007 (480 hours).
Allan Price, VBH general manager for Scotland, said: “TSL was one of the original window locks of this type and Roto have managed to improve the product further with this update. The NT faceplate is very strong, and when combined with Sil Nano’s attractive matt silver finish, looks fantastic on any window, whether it’s timber, PVC-U or aluminium. It contrasts beautifully with any colour profile and we are confident that many manufacturers will switch to TSL from their current lock as a result.”
TSL is part of Roto’s NT family of products and, as such, is offered with the backing of the company’s 10-year functional warranty.
