Glideline triples factory capacity

Following a year of consistent growth in a declining market, Glideline has expanded its factory capacity to 30,000ft2 – three times bigger than its current facility.

The expansion of its existing premises in Great Yarmouth comes after 12 months of significant growth for the nationwide aluminium manufacturer. Its ability to deliver slimline aluminium systems that accurately combine innovative design with ultra-low U-values are considered to be the main drivers for development.

As well as helping to continue servicing demand among Glideline’s nationwide customers – especially for its slimline products, which saw a 40% surge in enquiries in 2024 – the expanded premises will aid in widening its product range to continue delivering on homeowner demands and changing legislation.

“While 2024 brought with it some challenges, we’ve experienced a year of fantastic growth at Glideline,” says David Pickering, the company’s Managing Director. “Our site expansion reflects the surge in demand for aluminium, and will allow us to continue meeting this demand, without compromising on our service.

“Our installer-first approach means we’re tuned into how our customers operate, the problems they face and the products they need to stay ahead, and make their job easier. This increased capacity means that we can not only uphold that level of service and support to our customers, but continue innovating to meet the ever-growing demands for great energy efficiency, slimmer sightlines and changing design trends.

“We’re committed to delivering for our customers, and this site expansion will grant us the capacity to invest in doing that.”
