The team at Cardiff-based fabricator Dudley’s Aluminium is to support the creation of a new headquarters for Dorset Police at the force’s Winfrith site, supplying Metal Technology System capped curtain walling, doors and manual and automatic windows, in addition to automatic entrance doors. The project will be the third police headquarters that the fabricator has worked on in three years, having successfully completed Gwent Police’s headquarters in Cwmbran and South Wales Police’s headquarters in Bridgend.
The Dudley’s team has partnered with Willmott Dixon Construction for the project, which is to include a 30,000ft², three-storey, Grade A office building. The design is set to incorporate a contemporary mixt of glazed curtain walling and facing brickwork. The headquarters is being designed to the BREEAM ‘Very Good’ sustainability standard and is to include air source heat pumps and photovoltaic panels.
