Alan Hartley has returned to working for Cotswold Architectural Products after nearly five years since leaving the business to pursue other roles. Alan is now Costwold’s business development manager.
“It’s fantastic to be welcoming Alan back to the business,” said Tim Ferkin, Cotswold’s managing director. “I worked with him for much of his time at Cotswold, and have seen his passion, dedication and huge knowledge first hand. Alan lives and breathes hardware, and knows our market as well as anyone I know. I can’t think of a better candidate to help us take Cotswold into the next phase of its history.”
Alan first joined Cotswold Architectural Products as a storeman, aged 19. He then progressed to an internal sales role before shifting into external sales. He has continued to hold external sales roles for much of the last 37 years.
“I’m absolutely delighted to be coming back to Cotswold,” said Alan. “It’s a business I have a huge affinity and affection for, and it really feels like coming home. I firmly believe in the brand, and after so many years, I feel like it’s part of my DNA.
“I’ve had the pleasure of working with many brilliant and passionate people, and have done business with some great characters and companies – many of whom are still in the industry today. So I look forward to reconnecting with them.
“At Cotswold, it’s never been about just selling individual products. ‘Quality, reliability and service’ has always been at the heart of what we do. Tim has assembled a great team to get Cotswold back to those core values. I look forward to playing my part.”
