LiftMaster B1 generates interest for Bohle

Bohle has said that the specification of larger insulated glass units and the ‘challenges of their onsite handling’, prompted high levels of interest in its LiftMaster B1 manual lifting device at last week’s FIT Show.

With a compact design and handling weights of up to 180kg, the LiftMaster B1 has been designed to combine the safe and secure movement of glass units, with maximum flexibility – packing down to fit inside an estate car.

Designed to be used with or without an electric pump, it delivers exceptional versatility, while a dual circuit vacuum system, reserve tanks, vacuum display and secondary vacuum indicator, ensure that it guarantees the highest levels of safety.

Speaking at the FIT Show, Lance Conway, technical sales representative, Bohle, said: “The LiftMaster B1 attracted a lot of interest. Installers are having to handle bigger units and doing that safely can be challenging.

“The LiftMaster B1 meets all current regulations and restrictions governing the movement of glass on site – we actually used it here at the NEC to move our own glass into place – while delivering a high level of manoeuvrability.”

Alongside the LiftMaster B1 Bohle also showcased its base rail balustrading system.

“What we’ve been saying to retailers is, if you’re fitting a conservatory or orangery and decking to go with it, balustrading is a great way of finishing off the project. It has lots of end user appeal and offers some pretty high margin returns,” added Lance.

He continued: “Focussing on the inside of the home, we’ve also been showing our Slidetec Optima 50 internal door, which is a great slimline alternative to a traditional internal sliding door or a great internal partition. We’ve had people on the stand who have been had requests from homeowners for something that divides space within their home but without losing light. Slidetec Optima is the perfect solution.”

Lance concluded: “We came to the FIT Show with a very simple offer, Slidetec Optima, the Easymount Vario, Frametec, the LiftMaster B1 – products that generate opportunities but also deliver operational efficiencies. Those opportunities have been recognised by visitors and it’s been a great show for us.”

Summing up, Bohle’s MD, Dave Broxton, said: “What was clear at this year’s FIT Show is that while the window industry may be their core market, installers are changing to offer a more comprehensive home improvement service.

“As for the FIT Show itself, we got some high-quality leads and on a personal note as someone who was part of Glassex, it really impressed me. It was well organised, well attended and the team should be very proud of what they’ve achieved.”
